PLUS: A bubble might be forming in AI...
Welcome, humans.
The Dow Jones just turned negative this year, and no one likes it when stocks go down, not even Bitcoin maximalists. Here are some creative ways to jump-start the market:
Elon tweets something whimsical about Tesla.
Nvidia re-releases news about its latest AI chip.
Meta rebrands again to āAIā.
Hereās what you need to know about AI today:
An AI deepfake of Mr. Beast went undetected by TikTok.
Anthropic is eyeing a valuation between $20 and $30 billion.
LinkedIn launched new AI tools for recruiting/job-hunting.
It was a slow week in AI startup land.
AI Deepfakes Are Getting Better & More Problematic.
On Monday, a vid of Mr Beast offering 10,000 iPhones for $2 each exploded on TikTok.
Unreal, right? Thatās because it literally wasnāt real.
Itās the latest in AI scams going undetected by media platforms. Prior to this, it was a (deepfake) of Tom Hanks promoting a dental scam. And back in February, we covered a deepfake feat. Andrew Huberman.
Itās a bad look when the companies building AI canāt even spot AI-generated content on their own platforms. Akin to a dentist with yellow teeth.
Other AI companies like Google are working on solutions, but deepfakes are outpacing detection tools ā¦ and they are currently the worst theyāll ever be. No magic bullets here, but check out this piece for more insights.
You may also want to set up an AI safeword with your family.
On a different note, better video dubbing is actually great news for marketing and content teams:
YouTubeās one-click AI dubbing tool lets you translate your vids into multiple languages.
Tools like Maverick and Gan let you create one marketing video ā get infinite personalized vids to engage your customers.
Hereās our advice on how businesses can start to personalize content using AI.

Anthropic Might Raise At A $20-30B Valuation.
Money isnāt free in lifeāunless you're an AI startup, apparently.
Anthropic, the creator of Claude, could raise $2 billion from Amazon and Google at a staggering valuation of $20-30B.
Sure, Claude is dope ā we use it to summarize 100-page PDFs ā but at $100M revenue/year, the new price tag puts it at 200x revenue!
(Meanwhile, Appleās at 7x - though itās not exactly an apples-to-Anthropic comparison)
Coincidence much?
This huge valuation comes a week after OpenAIās suggested valuation range of $80-90B, a 3x increase from its April valuation. Anthropic might be getting a little āHey, us too?ā action here.
Why this matters: While we're obviously excited about AI, we can't ignore the hype bubble swelling up in Silicon Valley-land.
A lot of it is justified, and a lot of it is not. The Information reported that many AI consumer apps that raised 9 figures are struggling to retain users and compete with ChatGPT.
PSA: Technology adoption always has its ups and downs. We just hope AIās ādownsā arenāt exacerbated by splurging.
what? what was that? did someone say web3?!
