😺 🎙️ We're LIVE to unpack OpenClaw (the AI agent everyone's talking about)
Joined by Ken Underhill of Cybersecurity Insider!
Welcome, humans.
QUICK HOUSEKEEPING NOTE: Apologies for the double send, but a previous version of this email included a broken link. Here’s the new link to join live here.
We're LIVE right now breaking down OpenClaw—the open-source AI agent that racked up 150,000+ GitHub stars in 72 hours and has security firms from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike sounding alarm bells.
Why everyone's talking about OpenClaw
Unlike chatbots that just respond to prompts, OpenClaw actually does things: books flights, manages your email and calendar, controls your browser, writes code, and remembers everything across sessions.
People are installing it on Mac minis that run 24/7, calling it "AI with hands" and comparing it to having a digital employee.
One OpenClaw agent even built Moltbook—a social network where AI agents post, argue, and upvote each other. Humans can watch, but can't participate.
The catch? Security researchers are calling it "a security nightmare" (also “dumpster fire”, “kill it with fire”, etc). and warning that giving an AI agent full system access is "punching holes through every boundary we spent decades building."
Well, we're unpacking it live with a cybersecurity expert!
Ken Underhill (editor at eSecurity Planet and daily writer of Cybersecurity Insider) is joining us right now to break down:
What makes OpenClaw fundamentally different from ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor.
The actual security risks (Cisco found prompt injection vulnerabilities, credential leaks, and more).
Who should try it vs. who should absolutely stay away.
Whether this represents the future of AI agents... or a cautionary tale.
We're taking your questions live. Join us here.
We'll take your questions live. So if you've been wondering whether self-hosted AI agents are the future or just a security nightmare waiting to happen, this is your chance to get answers from someone who actually knows.
Essential OpenClaw resources (catch up before or after the stream):
For a brief overview of the tech specs:
OpenClaw Architecture Explained — How it works under the hood: agent execution, tool use, browser automation, memory systems, and why its architecture feels more reliable than most AI agents.
For practical use cases:
OpenClaw in Action: 5 Real Use Cases — Managing calendars, editing docs, voice replies, personalized briefings. Why some devs are ditching Cursor for this.
For deployment:
How I Got OpenClaw Running via Railway — Step-by-step Railway deployment (easiest no-terminal path). Full docs at docs.openclaw.ai.
Here’s the template i used (but this is the one featured in the video.
Here’s our slightly more technical set up explainer as well. There’s also a one click Hostinger deployment resource that makes this much easier now, too.
How to install via Hostinger
This video is pretty easy to follow for the Hostinger set up.
P.S: There’s also a lightweight, local alternative to OpenClaw now!
NanoBot — The "lightweight" OpenClaw fork for experimenting without the full stack. But it’s only for technical folks so far.
Lots more to share and discuss, so join the stream if you can!
Don't miss this. We're going deep on the most talked-about AI tool of the week—live, with expert analysis and your questions answered in real time.
P.S. Missed our Google Labs deep dive? We got exclusive demos of Mixboard, Flow, and Opal straight from the product managers. Watch the full episode.
We're betting on the latter.
