ChatGPT Plugins Are Game-Changing 🧙

ChatGPT today is like the first iPhone: revolutionary but limited to narrow use cases (namely text generation).

With the help of Plugins, ChatGPT is evolving into a one-stop destination to do anything on the internet. People have already started shipping incredible things:

  • Someone built a plugin that summarizes and timestamps any YouTube video, even 6-hour Lex Fridman pods!

  • DesignerGPT integrates a Stable Diffusion plugin to build an entire website infused with generative artwork.

  • The CEO of DoNotPay showed off his company's plugin, which can delete your personal data off third-party websites and cancel your pesky gym membership.

Gatekept: If you're chomping at the bit to try these out, you're not alone. These community plugins are not yet open to the public.

Still, if this is the beginning, we're stoked for the future. Once access to Plugins is fully opened, some of us will be spending all day in ChatGPT.

That's why we're gifting one lucky subscriber ChatGPT Plus for a year to supercharge their work. Here's how to enter:

  1. Refer 1 coworker, friend, or lucky cat to The Neuron using your unique referral link below.

  2. Make sure they confirm their subscription.

Entering is as easy as throwing your referral link on Twitter or in a group chat.

The giveaway ends on 4/18. Terms & Conditions apply, whatever that means.

One App To Rule All Chatbots? 💬

Most of you know Quora for its Q&A services. The site was a big hit years ago but hit a wall when people ran out of questions to ask (kidding, kinda).

Since ChatGPT's arrival, Quora has quickly pivoted into AI by placing bets behind its new app called Poe.

Poe lets you try models like ChatGPT, GPT-4 and Claude (the latter two cost $20/mth) from under one roof.

You can also create and share your own chatbots by building prompts - like this Japanese tutor chatbot.

The mission stems from Quora's CEO Adam D'Angelo's belief that there will be millions of chatbots for different purposes but that creating those chatbots will be hard. Too hard.

The vibes? It's early. We're excited to see what type of chatbots people create.

D'Angelo also sits on OpenAI's board, so we're curious to see how he develops this given his insider knowledge. For now, it's a good way to experiment with Claude before it's publicly available.
