PLUS: Angry artists just leaked OpenAI's text to video model...
Welcome, humans.
Yesterday we warned you that Hollywood creators were getting peeved at OpenAI, and sure enough, later in the day, their anger manifested in the leaking of SORA, the companyās text to video generator on HuggingFace:
Obviously, OpenAI shut that down ASAP. But hereās a collection of videos people made while the tools were live (this oneās our fave). The reactions from X users are kinda hilarious:
āUnderwhelming.ā
āNot better than other tools available.ā
āThis has to be staged to lower expectations.ā
ādamnā¦this is it? this looks... OLD.ā
The main takeaway is that, after a year of video generator competitors hitting the market, SORA just isnāt that impressive to people anymore.
In related news, SORA competitor Runway just launched Frames, which lets creators generate images that maintain the exact same lighting, color grading, and compositional style across multiple generationsāand Runway can then turn these images into videos.
Hereās what you need to know about AI today:
Claude just dropped a new feature to improve your prompting.
Study: Half of long LinkedIn posts are AI-generated.
Trump proposed an AI Czar role.
Uber contracts out AI data labelers for Aurora, Niantic.
Prompting just got easier thanks to Claude styles (and Ethan Mollickās sage advice)
Remember how annoying it was to paste your writing style prompt every single time you wanted Claude or ChatGPT to write in your voice (and not GPT speak)?
Well, those days are officially over. Anthropic just dropped Styles, a new feature that lets you save and reuse your preferred writing styles in Claude.
Think of it like Custom Instructions (or a CustomGPT) in ChatGPT, but specifically focused on getting Claude to write the way you want.
Hereās how it works:
Choose from preset options (Formal, Concise, Explanatory) or create your own custom style.
To create a custom style, upload some sample content as a reference.
This style now persists across your conversations until you change it.
Instead of having to copy/paste your writing prompts every time, you can now:
Set a default professional tone for work documents.
Create a casual style for brainstorming sessions.
Define specific brand voice guidelines for marketing copy.
Save technical documentation standards for your team.
Of course, this won't be much use if you're not writing with Claude. Technically, you can still do a version of this with CustomGPTs or Gemini Gems (following the same logic). However, we HIGHLY recommend you use Claude for your writing.
We write with Claude, and you like our writing, right? ā¦RIGHT?!?!
This launch timing is perfect, because Wharton professor Ethan Mollick just revealed why most people struggle with AI tools: They're overthinking it. Forget complex āprompt engineeringāāyou just need about 10 hours of hands-on experience.
Case in point: A recent study showed AI outperformed both doctors alone AND doctors using AI for diagnoses. Why? The doctors treated GPT like Google, asking one-off questions instead of sharing full case histories.
Mollick's Better Way: Think of AI as āan infinitely patient coworker who forgets everything between conversations.ā In practice, that means:
Share full contextāgive it the whole picture.
Be specificāāwrite a report for a Midwest university dean about remote learning funding.ā
Ask for variationsāget 3 different versions with different tones.
Have real conversationsāuse voice modes when possible.
Embrace the forgettingāinclude relevant context each time.
Why Styles + Better Prompting = Game Changer:
Set your style once.
Focus on quality conversations.
Skip complex prompting.
Get consistent results.
Pro tip: Worried about hallucinations? Mollick says add this: āIf you're unsure, say 'I don't have enough information to answer this.ā

If you want to understand the three levels of AI development and where weāre at now, you need to watch this interview with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang:
Keep in mind, as CEO of NVIDIA, Huangās goal is to push the idea that we need to buy more GPUs. So this is a bit like Jensen talking his own book.
